Other than that, yeah they work. I don't particularly like them though. I'd rather have things done properly. Plus our ProCurves moan about them.

yes im not to keen its just out of curiosity, if there isnt enough space at a single socket i would use a little switch or hub

Well you wouldn't use it in that situation. You use it when you run out of wall sockets and need to 'double up' a socket without running new cable. It doesn't save you any switch capacity.

yes i know, i mean say if you have 3 computers with 1 socket i would use a 4 port switch plug that into the wall socket and plug the 3 computers into the 4 port switch

I use these all over the place, as a "temporary" measure.

 

This is because I have been "advised" to not get cablers in during the term time, as there's plenty of time in holidays to get this done, and it disrupts lessons.

 

 

....and then I get asked to put an extra cable into one office...( stuff that, I don't DO cabling )... So they have to wait until the next holiday.
