Hi

I've got a bit of an issue, we are trying to change the homepage on our client machines to google safe search however they've removed the options in group policy editor now and you have to do it through GPP which is fine. The problem is the setting for the old homepage is already in there and we can't remove it. The only way I can think of is to make a new GPO but it's massive and I really don't want to have to re-do it as it works so well. does anyone know how to remove it?

Many Thanks

Already on there for you. User Config > Policies > Admin Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Disable Changing Home Page Settings

I think the policy FN-GM mentions will override it, but to actually remove the old settings from the GPO you would need to edit the GPO using a machine running an earlier version of Windows, i.e. Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 with the RSAT tools installed.
