Does anyone have any idea as to when the old look Office 365 adopts the new look?

Hi,

If you are a new customer and wish to use Office 365 then you will placed on the Wave 15 Tenancy and get the new look.. but if you are an existing customer who currently uses Exchange Online 2010, Lync Online 2010, SharePoint Online 2010 then you need to await for the service upgrade to be issued which shouldn't be too long away which will inform you on the process to upgrade to the latest version.

More information can be found here: Office 365 Service Upgrade Center for Enterprise - Office 365 Service Updates - Office 365 - Microsoft Office 365 Community

Cheers,

James.

Just on this point, Office 365 customers who on-boarded before February 27th are referred to as "pre-upgrade Office 365", and those after as the "new Office 365". As it is a service, rather than software, there isn't a specific version attributed to it (i.e. 2010, 2013, etc.), it's always up to date.

The waves you hear mentioned occasionally are internal working references but not official public naming conventions. :)

Hopefully that helps clarify - you hear lots of names thrown about referring to the same thing.
