@FN-GM:

Why its been so good for so long and we have no issues at all with capacity in fact we only utilise on any major usage day 20% of our total capacity across our 1GB backbone.

I even have a spare which is already configured to take over if this one fails hehe :D

I have thought about going totally Juniper 10GB backbone and 1GB to the desktop but don't see reason for the expense at the moment :D

With 2851, 1841, 1861, 800s, 1751s done .... and the only devices I am struggling with are 2950s.

I am so out of practice with IOS it is scary, still ... all done for the moment and I can do my last week at the LA in peace.

Our core switch isn't a spring chicken, but its the uptime on yours that I'm most jealous of. Despite being in a major town we get 6+ hour power outages every few months and my UPS doesn't last that long! Edited by AngryTechnician

We had some 3750s that I pulled out a little while ago, still worked great but we expanded. Up time of a couple of years when I pulled them, rock solid. I think they were 7-9 years old.

Our Blackberry Enterprise Virtual Server has been up 661 days, running on a 2008 Dell PowerEdge 2950III .

It's on 2k3 server and it must never have been rebooted after being built!

Will have to check how long the vMware hypervisor has been up as it was running long before then.

Had out Cisco 4507 Cores for 5 years and expect 3-4 more out of them at least.
