I was online this morning...I dont often go on the PC, but when I do...I play a game to ruination!

I did not know about this until the weekend, but the devs are actively hot-fixing/patching the alpha release and you can opt in to the "Beta" Alpha release using the "opt-in" option in the game properties within Steam.

 

It will cause problems though if you want to play online in public servers as your versions need to match. Same goes for co-op play too.

If 90% of the servers weren't so laggy, i'd actually get back onto it. Also, i never knew a m107 at close range in the chest doesn't kill someone?!

Iv played it.. I'm not sure if i like it to be honest. All the games kinda start/end the same :\ IMO

 

I will be back on dayz at the end of the month. I shall be joining your server if its still up Feel free to spawn me with a DMR

Well ain't you lucky. I'm still waiting for BT to roll out infinity in my area. Stuck on the one and only, ADSL! lol Get better pings than everyone in any other game, just Arma 2 :/

Took 2 days to download (crappy Sky broadband) but it's finally done! Now I just need to figure out how to play. I played 15 minutes this morning on the infantry preview, got killed as soon as the enemy engaged every time!

 

It works with the Xbox pad, but the controls don't seem intuitive at all - think I'll stick to keyboard and mouse for this one!

Saying that, if you do have one, it's handy to have it close to hand and configured for air vehicle control.

Yeah it quickly became apparent that there was a lot more to it than your average FPS and the Xbox pad just down't have enough buttons to control it all!

I seem to remember somebody posting a free version of ARMA ages ago, but my PC at the time couldn't cope with it. Am I remembering that right or did I dream it? Thinking a little training in the way ARMA games work will be necessary to get the most out of ARMAIII alpha...
