crcsd Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I'm trying to get the command ip forward-broadcast to work on my 3COM 5500EI in VLAN view. According to the documentation, it is suppose to be set both globally and in the VLAN. The command works fine globally, but not in the VLAN. However, it works fine on my 3COM 5500G. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, what did you do to make it work? Or is there another way to have the 5500EI pass the broadcast packets across VLANS? Thanks!
bio Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Well we had 3com 5500EI's in the past. Back then the ip forward-broadcast command did never work in VLAN mode. perhaps there is newer firmware available now. I would check at the HP site (if you have support contract) bio..
