This is a very strange problem.

I am trying to use RDP to connect to a Windows 7 PC over WiFi.

I only seem to be able to establish connection when I am near one access point.

At other access points I can access all the normal network services but just not an RDP connection to the Windows 7 PC.

At the same access points, I can use RDP to connect to servers.

This doesn't make sense. The access points shouldn't affect RDP connections just to one PC.

Any kind of Firewall on the AP? Most modern bis class ones have the feature built in as do some of the better home models.

Can you also access other resources from the 2nd PC (that you can't RDP into) e.g. file shares/printers?

Hi James,

I don't think the access point has a firewall. The funny thing is, I can RDP to other computers while connected to the same access point, just not the Windows 7 PC in question. I don't remember doing anything in the switch settings which would block cause this problem either.

Also I have no problem with RDP if use a cable to connect to the network.

Strange...
