edutech4schools Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Hello, I have moved a few small schools over to Google Apps for Education and as the mailboxes of the old system have always been very small I just got the users to forward any mail from one account to the other. I have been asked to move a large school where the main mailboxes all have a large amount of emails making the forwarding method a no go. Anyone got any ideas how I can forward the contents of mailboxes from RM EasyMail to Google Apps for Education mail boxes?
bodminman Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I had a similar issue going from RM easymail to Live@edu. I ended up setting the easymail to forward incoming mail to the new live@edu account, exporting users mail to a pst, connect outlook to live@edu account, connect the pst and then move the mail manually. Wasn't too much hassle.

bodminman Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Maybe not but it worked for me. We had around 15 heavily used mailboxes the rest were hardly used at all. How would you have done this?
elsiegee40 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 How would you have done this? I have no idea. We have at least 40 to shift which is why I'm watching this thread.
Edu-IT Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 When you say large amount, just how large are we talking?
Jollity Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I may be facing a similar senario soon. I have not got far in finding a solution, but I did think this blog post offered one potential solution - using a command line tool called Imapsync.
Jollity Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Just discovered that the Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Exchange utility also supports generic IMAP servers as well, so that might work too - confusing name. You can give it a CSV of user names and passwords to migrate.
