This is a general question

If I post something, someone else retweets it then say a day later I delete my original tweet.

Does this message stay or is it removed from the "retweeters" timeline/wall?

I hope that makes sense.

Once you post it on the Internet, it is permanent. There are entire sites out there dedicated to storing tweets on the public timeline for analysis later on. Put your Twitter name in Google and you will see!

Once someone has re-tweeted it, it's effectively a copy and is "their" tweet. So deleting your original will have no effect on the re-tweet.
