I've got windows 8 enterprise on my laptop and after joining the domain it works nicley it reports no errors can load my profile and open network shares. After going to sleep or being restarted it will take ages to login (but state no errors loading my profile?) it will then be unable to access shares hanging for ages then eventually asking for credentials.

The event logs show no kerberos errors or trust relationship errors. It does state that the domain controller is unavailable and it cant access DNS or Group policy. I can ping short server names but not their FQDN? If I rejoin the domain it'll work again but only until I reboot. The laptop is not restoring or anything strange (event log has no strange entrys) so I'm stumped?

Laptops time is correct. the computer account seems ok in active directory. it's also blocked from getting the ntp time.. but as it trying to use the dns entry thats expected of an untrusted PC.

ideas?
