Windows updates crashing?

I have a windows 7 PC which we just rebuilt. Trying to install updates - they are downloading and 'installing' fine - but when it comes to 'restart to install some updates' it is crashing at 15%.

I have to manually reboot the machine.

 

This has happened on one other machine this week as well - any ideas if there may be an issue with an update? I have no way to tell which is causing the crash - so may end up doing all 49 indivually...

 

Anyone else experienced this problem?

Normally, I get one update the always stops the machine booting and have to restart it but thats it. The event log should show the error.

Where abouts in the event log should I look? Struggling to find it. Thanks for the response.
