Resetting Android tablets

We're looking at getting a bunch of cheap Android 4.0 tablets, at roughly £50 a tablet, I'm willing to see whether they are worth it for pure internet research. However, my main concern is students putting a security code onto the tablet, so does anyone know of a way to either disabling the security of an Andorid device, or resetting an Andorid device to factory settings quickly and easily?

We have 90 Samsung galaxy tabs. To reset them you hold down the power button and the volume up button. From there you cam perform a wipe. Look in the play store for Smart App protector. You can set your own code and prevent apps from running and access to settings.

You can set a policy to disable the pin code via a MDM solution. If you are willing to root them you can go even further.

Or as said you could look at a MDM solution. I am currently looking into SOTI Mobicontrol 10. Can do everything you want plus push apps without user intervention. Just struggling to find out costs at the moment.

You can also - link with Google account. After 5 unlock attempt you enter in Google password and reset the pin.

 

Set your own pin, can't change it without knowing the current one.

 

Install the unlock app - after every boot, it will just unlock the device no pin required.

 

Install custom recovery that allows you to mount system, then use adb to delete the pin file.

 

Or, obviously, you can just factory reset any device. Few buttons, it wipes userdata...
