[sims] Sims Report Template editing in Word 2010 - unable to access Fields

Hi

 

We're using Sims 7.148 and I am trying to edit an RTF report template. When using a machine with Office 2003 the template opens perfectly and I can access the fields to add into the document as I wish. Works perfectly.

However when i edit the same RTF template on a machine with Office 2010 on the template opens, but I cant access the fields to add them - the mailmerge toolbar on the ribbon doesn't think the document has fields.

 

Any suggestions - I am frustrated with having to change machines to make simple changes.

Have you installed the latest service pack for Office 2010?

I know there is one out at the mo and that might fix the problem.

i think a macro adds the extra menu you need, so try with macro security set to low.

Thanks for that - i found changing the macros to low allowed it to make an 'add-in' toolbar on my ribbon
