psydii Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 No matter what I use I can't download exe's. Often the download appears to go ok, but then IE or Chrome report it blocked. Firefox reports it cancelled, and gives me the option to restart, which appears to work, but once complete the file is nowhere to be found. Things in play that might be having an impact: Sophos EndPoint Protection Group Policy Impero TMG As far as I can tell (or remember) we don't have any policies set anywhere that should be blocking this. I'm fed up and my troublshooting-foo has abandoned me. Please, has anyone got any ideas?
russdev Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 If want to rule out Impero disable the Impero Client service. Then at that point if still got the problem it is not related to Impero as you have disabled the service etc. Russell
speckytecky Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 As said by @Sligshead. Sounds like an ISP issue. Default filtering provided by SWGfL for example blocks a given list of exe files.
witch Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Have you tried disabling Sophos? I dont know if it will work but this week I had a similar situation with eset and I had to disable it to download the exe I wanted
psydii Posted February 18, 2013 Author Posted February 18, 2013 Thanks all. Will give these a go as soon as I'm back in front of my laptop.
