Decent pay, based in west leeds. Details sketchy at present :)

This will be a lot like School IT - loads of incredibly varied things to do and not much time to do them!

Get in touch if you are interested. As usual, if we make a successful, agent-free recruitment through EduGeek, we'll donate some (more) money to the coffers.

PS. There are still possible openings in Southampton and Leeds for other kinds of jobs in Development, Support, Sales & Admin, so if you are interested, or know someone who might be, give me a call - cant promise anything immediate, but ist always worth knowing!

Ben,

We *used* to be all over the country. "Back in the day" we had people in Coventry, St. Albans, Glasgow, Leeds, Southampton... but we have since rationalised. Our Support Manager did relocate from Denmark, mind.

Go on, you know you want to live in Leeds - its great (if a bit cold!) :)

Whats the pay?

Looking for a new job atm and leeds aint too far from me :D

Pay is dependant on the calibre of the candidate - if it's someone who needs training in almost everything, then it'll be entry-level-tech-ish (15?) going up to whatever we can afford if you're really good :)

Some nice offices in Leicestershire ;)

You forgot to add to job requirements the need to be completely mad..

and a love of home-made hats!

As stated by those who saw us at BETT, you may have to be... a bit odd, and a propensity towards home-made hats is a bonus ;)

Sounds like a fun job... though would mean relocating :( (or you lot moving to the south!)... and would depend what the salary ceiling was :p

Keeping up with Gavin in the pub is an interesting part of the JD I'd imagine!

I don't suppose you'd be taking industrial placement student's for such a position?

I've got an industrial placement year starting in July 2008 running until September 2009 and that job sounds awesome!

@Joe - i'd consider it, actually. Would have to work out a few bits... but talk to me, we may find a use for ya ;)

Drop me an email - i'm gonna be out of the office til monday now, so anyone who mails and gets no reply - thats why ;)

I'm from Lancashire. I'm not allowed to go to Yorkshire. :)

I'll let you in Geoff if you let me into Lancashire hows that for a deal :)

You're from Kirkham. You're not allowed to go anywhere!

Why leave Kirkham, you've got Mrs Kirkhams cheeses what more do you need (note I dont like Lancashire cheese so no good for me)

Anyway to the point :D Sounds not bad role :) Do you mind non-linux people as I dont do Linux at present, but do Windows very well :)

@john, I positively prefer windows people. I have linux skills a-plenty - i'm looking to complement that :) a Windows-guru who is willing to try a hand at linux and learn a few new things? Ideal.

@kyle - there may still be positions open in soton, not sure if they've filled the tech support post yet (dont think so) and theres definitely going to be more coming up. As we expand, we're having to pick up more engineers...
