OverWorked Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Does anyone use a good scheme for leasing laptops to students? We were contacted a few months ago by a couple of companies offering schemes where parents would be in a contract directly with the leasing company, and the school wouldn't be financially involved. I didn't do anything about it at the time. We have a small number of SEN pupils who would benefit from having their own laptop; with assistive software, configured display, accessibility options etc. suited for their needs. Does anyone use such a scheme? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
psydii Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Syscap - 020 8254 1800 If the school is paying and the laptops remain 'property' of the school then Dell's own finance team also works well.
e_g_r Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 We looked at ABK Group plc in Stockport. 0161 482 6353, David Williams (?). Only one kid wanted one in the end. Give them a call unless you've already spoken to them.
psydii Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I'd look at the complex web of shell companies that exist around the ABK Group, and ask yourself "why?" before entering into a deal with them.
GrumbleDook Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 We use Syscap for our leasing. If you want more info on our scheme feel free to PM me.
OverWorked Posted July 13, 2006 Author Posted July 13, 2006 Just looked at the Ergo website for their Learn Anywhere scheme. Looks like it's what I want. I might give them a ring.
