john Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Put it on my laptop and its a bit, well i dunno, different, they have modded Outlook but cannot quite put my finger on it bar it liked to hide the ribbon away first time. Skype for Business they have hidden away useful things like Polls and Whiteboards under a "more" option which isn't helpful, Skype animated emotes funny but really its S4B.... its also incredibly blue! Wonder if Excel's performance is back to the Office 2010 level however as our Finance team have struggled with 2013 Excel its a lot slower when doing massive re-calculations and working with epic amounts of data as they do compared to 2010. Also Lync Meetings are now "Skype Meetings" so that will confuse people going I need Skype so I can imagine this will be fun for people outside our company we invite to Lync meetings they will panic its Skype and have concerns over "security" of it and that mumbo jumbo

Microsoft should buy the company that makes NitroEngine and integrate it into future versions of Excel. Excel always seems slow with very large spreadsheets.

Excel always seems slow with very large spreadsheets. 2010 was great and these are HUGE Excel files to the point we have to use 64bit office no choice of 32bit anymore as that isn't even worth trying they will gobble lots of ram but all the shiny and pretty they added to Excel 2013 broke it, you can turn some off via regedit's but still its not as quick as 2010 so hope 2016 is better. dhoward_westexetc Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Apologies to drag up this thread again. Does anyone know for certain if Office 2016 (Windows version) will support Exchange 2007? I know that the Mac version does not support i (only Exchange 2010 or later), and would assume that the same applies for the Windows version, but cannot find any documentation, release notes etc for Office 2016 PC version that answer this question specifically. Thanks.
