Bev Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Having read about the demise of 'Sims Bulk Uploader', I'm guessing the answer is no, but this seems like such a basic thing to be able to doI thought I'd ask. I have a list of all pupils and whether or not they are allowed to have their photo displayed online. I've created 3 UDFs, as we have 3 levels of permission we ask for, and I just want to update the entire school with these fields (True / False), so 3 User Defined True/False fields - Photo may be used in school, Photo may be used on school website, Photo may be shared with local newspapers. Is the only option to sit and tick them for each student? Which seems prone to error apart from anything else.
mukz Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Do you have Salamander? I am guessing here but i think they can import into a udf for you, also don’t SIMs have a import tool? Been a long time since i helped with sims so my memory is blank at the moment
Esteban_Child_of_the_Sun Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Capita's roadmap for 2018 has in it "Addition of the ability to import data into User Defined Fields", though it hasn't made it into the Spring release they seem to be roughly adding them in the order published so hopefully it will be in Summer.
SouthCoastSaint Posted January 5, 2018 Posted January 5, 2018 I have an aspect for this which means staff can view permissions by their class in their Additional Info marksheets, and it also means you could bulk upload.
DSapseid Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 You will be able to bulk update UDF's as from the Spring 2018 upgrade. See https://myaccount.capita-cs.co.uk/Notifications/CR-Spring-2018-SIMS/?b=SIMS&utm_source=SIMS
