E-safety resources available for download

Hi All

 

I attended a very good e-safety seminar yesterday led by a chap called Jeff Haslam who is an independent E-safety advisor who works with CEOP.

 

His seminar demonstrated many different ways that online predators groom potential victims and I must say that I went away feeling that I really must do more in my school to promote online risks/information/tools/advice to both staff and parents.

 

Jeff made available the following ZIP file which contains some very helpful PDF guides, sample policies and a reources document giving links to a wealth of online e-safety video and media resources. I'm sure he's very happy for it to be shared...

I just downloaded the .zip file, and passed it on to a few people who may have a use for it here.

 

I've had to make a few small edits to the facebook letter, though. Just [spellcheck flagged] grammar and missing spaces.

Worked with Jeff for many years up here. He really knows his stuff and is extremely experienced. Was onto the urgency of e-safety for children well before most became aware of the very real dangers. If anyone else gets the chance to get any training from him I recommend you take it!!
