Looked into this before, only issue... if i say fire.... which weapon does it fire? Primary? Secondary? Fire me via self destruct?

Is it easier to say fire primary weapon than actually do it?

Bank left? Instead of banking left?

Pull up? Instead of pulling up?

You say fire, and program the word fire to push the fire buttom of your choice.

 

For me being able to shout boost whilst dogfighting might give me a split second afterburner that i need to dodge or to catch a player.

I wouldnt use it for things like that but landing gear and cargo scoop etc would all be useful to have rather than using the keyboard. You could even bind to self destruct for a laugh.

Depending how in-depth Elite is (I've not played it yet, have a pre-order though thanks to Kickstarter), voice control could be very useful for things like switching primary/secondary weapons mid dog fight...

I have got voice attack and Elite Dangerous Voice Pack for Voice Attack you cant dock yet but people are asking for Frontier to add support for a key to request docking with targetted station so there is hope. Its very useful for landing gear/hyperdrive etc which all saves me reaching for the keyboard or wasting buttons on the joystick.
