ZeroHour Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Post any feedback good or bad and issues with the Android beta app here. For details about joining the beta see: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/165790-edugeek-mobile-app-beta-testers-needed.html 1
Localtechie Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Love the new layout and it doesn't have the error with the forum not loading on app opening. Much more improved! 1
kearton Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Seems much more stable so far. Not had one lockup yet (normally get them all the time) 1
sparkeh Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Had a good play and I am loving the new Android app. Layout is much better and the whole thing is so much quicker. A few things to note: In the list of threads, some of the the threads have a picture with it (a picture that appears in the thread) but its not always the picture that goes with the latest post text which is previewed below it. Just looks a bit wrong. You still can't remove thanks in the app. Cheers for the hard work @ZeroHour 1

Now you've got me doubting I've got an upgrade (apart from the noticeable stability change). Hmmm...
Devontechie Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Yeah the beta android app seems to working really well. Seem quite than other version. Liking the new layout as well 1
DalekSec Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Love it on 1st impression, got the dark theme switched on and everything! Will keep you informed of any bugs
Geoff Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) In the push notifications for a reply, if the bit of preview text from the reply includes BB markup code you see the markup in the push notification text rather than the formatting. Edit: got a screenshot http://i.imgur.com/wQRUxRu.png Edited February 12, 2016 by Geoff
DalekSec Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Is it possible to make it so all the notifications don't stack and instead go into one saying you have # amount of notifications?

elsiegee40 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Mod problem: I can't edit thread titles in the android app. I can edit the body of the opening post, just not the title 1
kearton Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 App showing I have 1 unread item, but when I go in there is nothing unread 1
ZeroHour Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Hopefully the next build will fix some of these issues. Should be due this week or the start of next.
Kingstech Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I have completed the survey for testing but have not received any information yet. Has it not been sent out or am i missing something?
DalekSec Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 If I open the app via a notification and then click the back arrow top left, it closes the app down. Wouldn't it be better If went to the main menu? as the phones main back button is normally used to close the app down. 1
ZeroHour Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 I have completed the survey for testing but have not received any information yet. Has it not been sent out or am i missing something? You should have an email from us which was sent about 15 minutes ago. I was away last week and couldnt easily update the lists until now. 1

ZeroHour Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 A new update with bug fixes is being rolled out now, it should be available in the next few hours.

Wouldn't it be better If went to the main menu? as the phones main back button is normally used to close the app down. App updated and it still does this. Go in via app notification, read post, click back arto2w and leave app. Go back into edugeek app, post still open, click back arrow again, leave app. Go into app a third time, get what's new which is where I wanted to be in the first place 1
RichCowell Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 If you're still looking for testers count me in...
ZeroHour Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 Android beta has been updated and notification flow involving the back menu should be much better now directly based on feedback you guys have provided. Thanks 2
DalekSec Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Love the new notification for updates, better than a long list. Problem is the number doesn't go down after I have checked the updates. Currently on 37 and rising! 1

Currently on 37 and rising! This appears to have happened on iOS in the last version as well, I will report it, cheers.
