Superb mate, wish we'd done that when we had some at my previous school. Ended up filming the hatching and my arm was killing hehe.

Can't wait to see the tasty little morsals hatch ;)

Good job on the cam mate!

I would love to know the details of this setup...........

Using Yawcam as the main engine - its marvellous.

It lets you FTP up a series of images to your website - so I've set it to upload a maximum of 5 images and when it uploads a new one, it renames the old ones and the latest becomes image0.jpg.

I found a webcam module CamViewer (I use orig 1.5.3 based egJP so I'm running legacy and can run 1.0 modules) and modified it a bit - this does the main image 10 sec refresh using javascript.

The sequence of 4 older image from past minute is using an Iframe to ref a simple html file that uses meta refresh every 30 secs.

Yawcam also saves a local image copy every 2 secs that I'll be using to create videos (Photolapse 3, VirtualDub and Riva VideoEncoder to get it into flv file).

And icing on cake - Yawcam automagically run as a webserver so that we can have 3fps video into each classroom to stick up on the projectors :)

I've taken todays images and currently converting to video showing eggs moving slighty -I'll upload later

regards

Just been asked today to set up something similar, as we have an incubator in the nursery and it would be good for the kids to see.

need some more info.

Popping back and forth watching the 4th hatch. Unfortunately i missed the big event itself!

It went on such a long time - all classes came to a halt for an hour - I'll bet you heard the cheer down your way when it finally hatched :)
