Kate_Roberts74 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 I've got the (unfortunate) task of reviewing and recommending a school reporting package for next summer. Any recommendations anyone.
lightinthedark Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 We're working on something in those lines ourselves. Open source and well tested (our teachers are using it right now). I'll post more info when I know when our launch event is.
elsiegee40 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Are you looking to write reports fror a primary or secondary school?
firefox_2006 Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Hello Our school uses the following software, its freeware and quite basic but does the job Teachers Report Assistant - FREE time saving utility for teachers hope this helps firefox_2006
RabbieBurns Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Ive designed our own reporting system, integrates with pheonix gold, web based asp pages and ms access databases. And a nice autoit application for the secretaries to print the reports. works well and has been well received.
Sparrow Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 If you're looking for a primary school report writer my school started using Report Assist a couple of years ago. It took a little while to get used to, as with anything new, but in general all the teachers think it is a great time saver and the finished reports look really good. Hope this helps
ComputingData Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 (edited) Update: I've edited this post so not to be so 'spammy'. Sorry! -Anthony Edited November 27, 2008 by ComputingData Looked too 'spammy'
SimpleSi Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 One of my schools uses Anthony's program (well the original version when he was at Applepanic) as a replacement for Report Assist and they are quite happy with it. (And so am i 'cause I really, really dislike Report Assist!) And his product support is second to no-one regards Simon PS The original program was a bit (i.e. completly over the top ) overzealous with its copy protection but I don't know if the latest one is the same
ComputingData Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 Hi Simon, I thought it was you. I've posted to you in another thread. Anyhow, you will be pleased to know that I have changed the method of protection - its much more user friendly than it was before. Are you going to BETT in January?
