Does anyone know how long it takes for account delegation configured through GAM to become useable?

Over the weekend i was setting up shared mailboxes and the GAM command worked almost instantaneously however when in work it doesn't.

Clearing out the local cache of the browser and Control+F5 doesn't do anything either.

I've tried incognito mode and tried different browsers too.

I thought the same, but didn't do my homework and they appear under the account list in the top-right, not as an additional mailbox within the account you are delegating to. Have you checked that?

That's where i am looking. It's lists the signed out accounts but not the delegated accounts.

Always works instantly for us, just needs the Gmail page reloading to get it showing in the accounts menu.

I do wonder if it's to do with Proxying as a user that i have set for delegation on another box still isn't showing even though GAM and the shared mailbox show the user as having access. Will see what tomorrow brings.

Not long after i posted the issue about delegated accounts, they showed up under the Google Account icon on the top right of the screen when in Gmail.

Come in this morning to find that the delegated accounts are not showing. It's not the proxy as i have tested this issue via tethering my mobile data to a laptop and clearing out the cache on the browser.

GAM is still showing delegation as been set.

Is GAM showing the delegation as approved? It normally would, but when delegates are added by the end user in Gmail, the delegate has to approve it before it becomes active.

I think i've found where the issue is. The only setting i've changed to get it working is Mail Delegation in the admin console > Apps > G Suite > Settings for Gmail > User Settings > Mail Delegation = disabled is overriding the mailbox delegations.

I was under the impression that by disabling this setting, it would only stop the users having access to delegate their mailboxes and not interfere with the setting configured through GAM so now i've had to allow mailbox delegation for all users but block [email protected] so users do not get the grant access confirmation email.
