I’ve written a PA that listens to a consumables order list with columns for item, created by, order status, FAO dept etc. I’ve used a condition to only send email if ‘required’ and a switch with each department name to determine who to send the email to. It works and that’s great but it feels clunky to have 5 emails that all say the same thing and the only difference is the address being sent to. Unfortunately the email address for the ‘to’ field aren’t inside M365, otherwise I could use department information to pick the address. I feel as though there should be a way to have an array inside the script with department names and email addresses and have one email that has a script in the ‘to’ field that selects the correct address based on the FAO department in that table. But… I can’t figure out how to make or reference a table like this (I’d prefer not to create a list in sharepoint and have the table inside the flow). Any help greatly appreciated, or just a pat on the back to say I’m already doing it the best way works too.

How do I launch a flow when a new item is posted on SharePoint? I want to write a flow such that when someone posts an article on SharePoint, a predetermined set of persons are emailed that it has been done. Can someone give me some advice on how to accomplish this? I think the solution should be direct and obvious to those well-versed in Microsoft Automation. I thought I would ask around. I have some experience experimenting with Flows and Microsoft Automate. So I think I can follow directions. I think it would be best to pose this question and then look into educating myself on my own whilst a response is being made from my casting a proverbial net. Here is what I have been told: "Rather than using Power Automate, could you use the built in Alert Me feature. Populate the names to receive it and only notify when “new items are added”. This way you can set it up as immediate or daily summary." This sounds great. Can you direct me to information on this? You say it is a built-in feature. Where is it built in? Is it an App in the family of Apps in SharePoint?

I have a SharePoint document library with an Excel file set as the template for this library. When people create a new form it gets saved with the default filename of Book.xlsx. Subsequent files are then named book1, book2, etc.. Is there a way I can use Power Automate to get the filename and modify it? Maybe 5 minutes after the file is created would work well. Ideally it would get the filename from a cell within the Excel file is possible. If that can't be done, can it just be named after the person who created it? Has anyone else accomplished something like this? Thank you.
