Salary: £50,321 to £56,731 (all year round position) BET is one of the South’s leading Multi Academy Trusts with a mission to operate a forward-thinking, modern IT infrastructure to support over 12,000 students and 1,500 staff at our excellent schools. The role will involve overseeing IT management, operations, strategy, and infrastructure to ensure smooth functioning of all technology-related aspects within the organisation. The Director of IT will work with Central Team colleagues including, but not exclusively, the Digital Strategy lead, Director of Education, Chief Financial Operations Officer and our external IT support provider to define and deliver the IT strategy for Bohunt Education Trust across our 10 sites. You will lead and develop a well-resourced IT Support team across the schools who provide IT support to our staff and pupils. This is a central role, vital to our schools aims and the efficient running of the Schools IT systems. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled IT professional who is up to date with current and emerging best practices and has the ability to adapt and respond to the changing needs of the business. You will have hands-on technical experience and will lead and manage a team to ensure effective, efficient and professional service delivery. You will have a strong technical IT background with experience of server and network infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services and ideally supporting a 1:1 device programme. You will have experience of strategic planning and implementing IT projects on time and on budget. T his position would suit someone experienced in working in an educational setting perhaps as an IT Manager in a single academy trust looking to expand your role, however educational experience is not essential. We seek a knowledgeable, highly adaptive problem solver with an excellent understanding of high-level customer service and IT mastery.The selected candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent customer service skills who is capable of thinking strategically. You will be an effective leader who can lead from the front and contribute to the day-to-day support provided to staff and pupils.   2. We require an ambitious and motivated individual to join our founding team as an IT technician. Bohunt Horsham is a new, co-educational school in Horsham is opening in temporary accommodation in Arun House on Hurst Road in September 2019 for 120 students in Year 7, we will grow to become an all-through school of over 1600 pupils, based in a new, state of the art building north of Horsham. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new school and work within a successful, multi-academy trust. IT plays an important role across the Bohunt Education Trust in terms of both support, network and curriculum. Working as part of the trust wide IT team, you will undertake a wide range of extremely important tasks, including, but not limited to: helping to maintain the IT infrastructure and delivering effective service, support and solutions to staff and students of Bohunt Horsham. Working as part of a small, new school you will be willing to step in and support in duties outside your area of responsibility/experience when needed and will be working closely with the IT solution provider delivering IT to the new, purpose-built school currently under construction. As an integral and highly valued part of the school you will be customer-centric, proactive and, where necessary, re-active, in order to support the continuous and smooth running of the IT systems within the school. You will be competent in diagnosing and resolving issues and able to work on your own initiative. You will add value by your methodical yet creative approach to problem-solving, task prioritisation as well as a calm and diplomatic approach to situations. You will be required to set-up IT/AVA facilities for assemblies, exams and other occasions as needed, so a flexible and positive can-do approach towards all school staff and students is essential. Working knowledge and experience of network systems/fundamentals, trends and server administration is required and IT experience in the education sector would be advantageous.
