Thanks Pete, It has been reported to Locker so hopefully it will be addressed in the next update. It might become more of an issue if I want to automate some kinds of notifications (email or Teams) using the ToF distribution lists. Ian

Hi there, Just wanted to see if anyone has had the same issue with the "Teachers OF" email distribution lists that Locker creates. When there are set changes and the Locker synchronisation runs again, the "Teachers of" email distribution lists are updated to include the new teachers email addresses but teachers who no longer teach a student remain on the distribution list. Does Salamandersoft do the same? We currently use Locker but this bug might be a bit of a deal breaker so that we use a different company. Thanks, Ian

Thanks guys, I was thinking that I would have to merge the tables in Power Query as I have ended up doing this quite a few times. Running class and target reports then merging them is more future proof as well I think - as long as I know what fields need to be matched. I seem to be on an iterative process of getting data from SIMS into PowerBi then finding a more efficient way of doing it e,g, using a different report in SIMS. Hi there. I hope someone can help answer a question I have or suggest some solutions. I am developing a PowerBi dashboard to display whole school data that we have in SIMS. I can produce simple visualisations showing number of students in each year, graphs showing trends in attendance, punctuality conduct etc. I am using a lot of Power Query to help clean up the csv files from SIMS before I upload them to PowerBi and it seems to be working pretty well. I am coming up against a more difficult problem when it comes to assessment data as my current problem is to write a SIMS report that returns the correct assessment data with the student AND their class. I can extract Name Subject Group Student 1 Maths Maths group Student 1 English English group Student 1 Science Science group Student 2 Maths Maths group Student 2 English English group AND Name Subject Target grade Student 1 Maths Maths target grade Student 1 English English target grade Student 1 Science Science target grade Student 2 Maths Maths target grade Student 2 English English target grade and then merge these two csv files to produce Name Subject Group Target grade Student 1 Maths Maths group Maths target grade Student 1 English English group English target grade Student 1 Science Science group Science target grade Student 2 Maths Maths group Maths target grade Student 2 English English group English target grade Do you know if it is possible for SIMS to produce this (merged) table directly?? Hi there, Can anyone help? I'm trying to see if it is possible to automatically mute all participants (i.e. students) when they enter a meeting in in Microsoft Teams. Teachers have the ability to allow students to unmute themselves from within the meeting via the participants tab and muting/unmuting can be changed from the "meet options" settings but I wanted something that could be centrally set using policies or Power Shell. What I would like is a policy setting that defaults to setting all students to muted, does not allow them to unmute upon entering but the teacher still retains control over of students can unmute themselves. We have numerous staff who are more reluctant than others when attempting a live lesson and I want to provide a standard set of settings so essentially all the teacher needs to do is schedule the meet then go. Hi there, I'm glad Microsoft have introduced this feature. I have a question though that I hope someone may be able to help with. We have teacher computers in classrooms and most teachers also have laptops that are taken home. If a group policy is used in order to save space on the teacher PCs (e.g. to delete the files synced from OneDrive when the user logs off), I am assuming the same group policy will be applied when the teacher logs onto/off their laptop. This may cause some concerns but would we be able to get round this by using the sync on demand feature in OneDrive? I hope this makes sense as I'm just dipping my foot into thing at the minute. I'm very interested to see how things progress in your schools. I have just taken on a whole school IT project essentially looking at any aspect of IT within the school. I'm starting to collect information from staff on how they use IT, the issues they have and support they need. I have bitten off more than I can chew but it needs to be done!!

I am having some problems running SIMS reports where we have split classes. I need to identify all teachers of a particular student and the reports I run only pick out the teacher designated the Main Class Teacher. Does anyone know how to run a report to obtain all the teachers of a particular student?? Best wishes, Ian
