Just a question out of the blue, why does it takes so long to get compliant to GDPR? In my opinion, at this point, it would be more acceptable for customers to know from Clever that either there are no plans to support EU schools, or that a plan exists, and the exact due date is xx/xx/xx. Otherwise keeping replying with generic answers, sounds unprofessional, with the risk for Clever to fall behind Wonde, loosing potential customers.

Hello everyone, we are enhancing our coding curriculum and we would like to introduce robot-like kits to our students (EY up to Middle School) At BETT we have been positively impressed by Robo Wunderkind. Is anyone using this kit? If so how does it compare with other brands such as Lego or others?

Thanks for giving your thoughts on this. Yes, I am quite happy about the behaviour of the above machine. It has enough memory, speed, and the stylus delay/lag is absent. Stylus pressure support is a real life changer as it expands artistic creativity to a superior level. As for the creative bundle, it looks like some items are distributed as Android apps. Not a big concern for compatible Chromebooks, however this requires download and installing the app on a per-user basis, as there's no way to install the apps system-wide. Did you find a way to overcome this? I take this opportunity to ask if is there any Chromebook-devoted section on edugeek

Hello everyone, we're a really small EY/KS3 school with a dual curriculum and a limited time in the weekly schedule assigned to art & ICT. These subjects are currently covered in the school lab. At the moment, due to time constrains, the art & tech activities are limited to the basics: office automation tools such as Word,Excel & PP (Gradully moving to G Suite docs) painting & photo editing tools for Art. As we have planned a huge switch to Chromebooks, we're thinking of extending this choice also in the lab, replacing Windows notebooks (yes, no high end workstations in here). We are aware about CB limitations, however for what we need it may be enough, as we wouldn't have enough time in the schedule to use advanced software unavailable on Chromebooks such as Photoshop, Final Cut, CAD or any other tool requiring a proper workstation. BTW we will be purchasing a quality grade Chromebook Acer Spin 512, with touch screen & stylus pen pressure sensitivity, increasing flexibility and availability when using painting apps. Your thoughts?

Yes, but for now this is limited to KS3 students, while the new Chromebooks will be used down to KS1 students. Actually we're looking for a path to fasten all operations like logins (clever badges) and saving & retrieving data. Tricky task for age 5 students!

Our goal is making life easier to teachers gathering students portfolio (usually scattered on multiple PCs, unless using AD Remote Desktops) and students (young students workflow when opening & saving data files). Chromebooks allow saving locally and on Google Drive, however not all apps support saving on Google Drive (particularly Android apps running on Chromebooks) and although some apps can actually achieve this, there's a chance the teacher is forced to manually access each student account to grab data files in each drive (unshared) folder. How do you cope with this limitation in your school? Do you accept apps that can only save to local storage, with all the considerations this limitation entails? This concern is particularly acute for very young students....
