About Sharrad

  1. Yeaaa, we had thought about in house solutions, we'd be pulling data from SOCS and iSAMS APIs to collate into 1 feed which should be alright. We could build a Powerapp pulling from dataverse/sharepoint list to make it all cloud based but we were really looking to see if there's a prebuilt solution. Putting up Bouncepads with readers mounted to them isn't a problem hardware wise and they look good.
  2. Spending €9m on phone pouches 'unfathomable' - McDonald
  3. Authentication would be preferable, a searchable list would work but would limit what data we would/could put in the future for privacy reasons.
  4. Good Afternoon, We have recently rolled out Yondr pouches (I know) which means students no longer have access to their phones. (We're not 1:1 either) We're looking for a way to allow students to check their timetables/extra curriculars etc. on kiosk/devices dotted around the buildings. Have anybody come across any software that might do something like this? Ideally they'd be able to walk up to a kiosk, tap their ID card, see their timetable, logout and walk away. Needs to be quick and easily accessible, they can't be stood their logging into M365 to see their calendar. Any suggestions welcome, we can setup kiosks using ChromeOS, iPads, Windows, we're just looking for the software solution really. We have MySchoolPortal, but again the M365 login process takes too long. Best Wishes, Josh
  5. You would think!?! It was a shock to us this morning when we saw they were allowed to complete both papers simultaneously and we had no way of dealing with that as our config is very restrictive... They ended up writing it all in 1 document and we went back to split it into 2 documents to print afterwards.
  6. Perfect! I dream of the efficiency of GPOs - we use Intune / Endpoint Manager policies which are slow and inefficient to update. It sounds fairly similar to the way we have it but we use a script on launch of the software rather than login - we create a new folder for PC but this has a slight possibility of sticking and being accessed by the next user, forcing a creation with time and date in it is a good idea! Thanks for the info!
  7. Hi all, We are new users of ExamWritePad for our exam season this year and it's worked so much better for us! The easy configuration, auto saving and mostly, auto backups are awesome! We just need to be able to remove that pesky "new" button and all would be perfect! I'm here to ask about your config/setup for the software, how do you guys manage the files or do you mostly not worry about them as they require printing? We spend a good few days writing a startup script for the software to map network drives etc. - we also store the config file on a network location and pull it when it runs, which seems to work flawlessly allowing for instant changes everywhere. TL;DR - Just curious on how you configure EWP so we can improve ours. Thank you for your insight,Josh
