Hi, I'm not as much of an IT geek as I am a marketing/communications geek in the IT realm. And I've an M.Ed. for teaching high schoolers, so there's my link to the EDU part. If anyone remembers when Avast Antivirus launched their Avast Free for Education program in the USA (circa 2012?), I was among the few people who helped to conceive of and get that going (I still have the shirt!). Anyway, I had heard of edugeek a few times, but what finally prompted me to register/join was the need to correct a misconception in one of the threads about my current company (MyQ) and our software.
