About littlenblonde

  1. Thank you for your replies. I thought as much but it's always good to have it confirmed. I'll get onto the permissions straight away. I haven't given students access yet as I wanted to make sure all security issues were sorted first. Thanks again.
2. I have recently attached some Macs to our network. I have successfully managed to get Windows domain users logged on with their windows credentials. The problem I'm experiencing is that students are able to see all online computers and servers and are able to access various files on the servers. I have looked at the File Sharing options but these only seem to restrict local accounts on the macs rather than the windows users. Does anyone have any ideas other than to put restrictions on each of the files on the servers directly?
  3. Thank you, that's exactly what I've been after
  4. Hi, I wonder if you could help me, we are trying to replace our outdated database for Medical events in SIMs. I would like to be able to run a report over a date range that shows the name, reg and medical event code but I can only seem to find a medical event count. Could you point me in the right direction please? Any help would be great
  5. Thanks but when I try to add medical events it just gives me the option of a count rather than details
  6. We are trying to replace our outdated medical lists with one from SIMs. I would like to be able to run a report which shows all of the medical events within a selected time period. I have created a report but it only list the number of events rather than details. Has anyone else managed to do this? Thanks
  7. I can print .png's if I save the document as a .doc but not a docx. Any ideas?
  8. The print driver comes directly from the print server so therefore is the same on all pc's throughout the school. Yes it prints to .pdf and also .ppt etc.
  9. I am unable to print a .png image on a word document. This is a PC based problem rather that an individual user problem. I am able to print .png's on another computer of the same make and model number with the same version of Office 2016. This PC has all of the recent updates applied. I have uninstalled Office and re-installed. I have check that all of the options within word are the same as a PC that does print. I have contacted Microsoft but after speaking to 5 different representatives and being cut off several times I've given up as they kept putting me through to the wrong department. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me mad.
