Hi guys, One of our schools would like to name their PCs after different trees, and then have the login screen desktop background and screensaver for all users including when PC is not logged on, display that name. Running XP machines and Server 2003, with an AD domain, and mandatory profiles. Anyone have any idea of how to do this? Cheers, Mal

Done more work today that we have for the past 5 weeks lol!

I've set up exchange where I work and have had absolutely no problems with it. We have it running on a nice Xeon server with fast scsi drives and 2gig ram. I've found it the easiest thing to administer and manage, and the staff find it the easiest thing to use.

I also add staff to the local power users group. Has saved me muchos time compared to before when it comes to getting software to work Ours Policies are tight enough this isn't a problem.

Windows 2000 servers (3 domain servers and 6 other servers) Windows XP SP1 clients P4 2.4, 2.8, 3.0, 3.2GHz mixture 512MB ram Mandatory profiles (about 1mb in size) logon speed from hitting enter to full usable desktop = about 5-10 seconds depending on PC. Most notieable speed advantage on windows XP if you are updated comes from disabling the WebClient service. Mal
