We ran a compression script to reduce file size. The other thing we noticed is that students were saving files in PSB format, so we blocked these. These files were huge (sometimes 40gb+). One option we considered was applying group policies to the machine to map a new network drive for artwork and photography and push this onto a shared drive and keep the files of the server.
