Had a quick look - wow at those minimum system specs! It looks like a newer version than the one we last tried (think it was Trueview 2010) so it might work, not sure how terminal services will like DirectX and dual core system requirements though!

All I've found the official AutoCAD viewer is, well, kinda crappy. It's absolutely huge, and appears to need admin rights to work properly. Our users want this, and we use Windows Server 2003 terminal services, so I was wondering - does anybody out there use other Autocad/DWG viewers? Thanks muchly!

Roll up, roll up! I've got a challenge. You can optionally choose to compress pictures when saving in Office 2003 apps. This is automated in Office 2007. From what I can see, it is not possible to enable compression by default through group policy, or registry hacking. (If anybody knows different, please tell me!). So, I had another idea - write a macro or find a program which can go through a directory of files, open each, and save them back with compression enabled. But... I'm wondering if anybody has tried anything similar, basically, before I dive in.

Self Service Password Reset

Yeah, I thought about that - my managers think it is too messy for the users. The best I can think of is using pgina (pGina) to make a button on the login window. -

Correctomundo! The "Password Reset" box doesn't appear on the login screen when you remote desktop in, as it's spawned on the server console (Winsta0) rather than the user display. I can't think of a way around that. Well, unless somebody knows how to spawn a reset button inside of GINA... -

Our implementation stalled as we use thin client (Windows Server 2003, Remote Desktop to the servers) and the "Password Reset" window doesn't appear on the login screen for obvious reasons -

Turned out I'd messed up and set the permissions wrong on the folders - I'd given full Anonymous access to everything, which obviously doesn't work. -
Chaps Our users struggle to be able to add network printers. They're all labeled with names like "SALES" and such, but it's quite complicated to explain the concepts of Active Directory, Printer servers etc here. I'd like an easy way for users to be able to add printers - e.g. a web page, an application etc. Has anybody else here had a stab at it? Cheers!

Self Service Password Reset

Folks, has anybody else seen this one? I've got the same problem. I can register, I can update, but I can't reset (says the username isn't found) or get in the admin directory: "error '80005000' /admin/auth.asp, line 35" From what I can see it can't determine the CurrentUser, not sure why... Obviously, it isn't much use without the admin interface or the reset directory working Cheers!
