We are looking to appoint an experienced information communication technology systems manager who will be responsible for direct management of the school network. You will be required to line manage, train and appraise staff.
You will either have an NVQ Level 4 in an appropriate discipline with relevant experience or be able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience including provision of technical support. Experience of working in a technical environment is required involving use of, and ideally provision of support for, servers, storage, user devices plus system and application software, including Microsoft Office 365. You will have experience in web based design as you will have responsibility for improving, updating and maintaining the school website.
The Alun School, which is situated twelve miles from the historic city of Chester, is a co-educational comprehensive school with 240+ in each year group and a Sixth Form of almost 400 students. Our school offers an extremely supportive environment in which to work. Students are enthusiastic to learn, and behavioural issues are managed very successfully through our strong House system. We have a diverse programme of extra-curricular activities and relationships with parents are very good. All members of staff are very positive about their school and staff turnover is very low.
