  1. Thank you for your response, I have also tried that clean up tool. I did originally think it was the label printer - but it works just fine as a device. Very frustrating Thank you all to who have replied; i'll just have to keep trying!
  2. I have tested it on Win 7 and Win 10 machines - both fresh installs. It's so annoying it just says communication error when installed as a printer; but as a device it prints all day long - not normally an inssue but as its soley used for access it needs to be added as a printer. Sorry
  3. It's via USB and yes I've used the above drivers and I can see it under device manager
  4. I have indeed seen this thread and have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I'm tearing my hair out here as we need it for production ASAP
  5. I am installing via USB - and yes I forgott to mention I can see it under device manager
  6. Hi! Bit of a basic one, and sorry if anyone has posted regarding this before, but I was wondering if anyone has come across this: We are upgrading our brother label printers from 570's to QL 700s. I know how to install a printer! This isn't the issue. The issue is for some reason after a lot of troubleshooting the printer installs as a device not a printer. Not usually an issue as it works just fine BUT because the printer is used soley through Microsoft Access when I want to change the current Label Printer to the 700 I can't because it's not listed as a printer! After several attempts I have finally managed to install the machine as a printer but for all my sins all it ever does is tell me it has a communication error and it's not connected properly. I've done the usual switch it off and on, follow support from Brother Online, speak to Brother online regarding drivers but I can just not get this stupid thing to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I missing anything? Thanks all in advance Kayleigh
