Hi All, I'm hoping someone has come across this error before and is able to help. We are trying to create our exam entries files from SIMS examinations but we keep getting a Microsoft OLE DB error (see screenshot). Capita are saying that the error is completely unrelated to what it says and that it actually relates to student information on SIMS but I don't know why I don't believe that. Anyway our IT team had migrated our SIMS server to what I'm guessing is a newer version of Microsoft server/SQL and we've not had this issue before that. If anyone has come across this error or has any suggestion on how to fix this it would be a great help. Thanks, Jahir

Thanks both. Sounds like it shouldn't break anything else in SIMS if I am just adjusting the period times...fingers crossed.

Hi All, Need some advice. I need to adjust the period times for all periods in the school day. Do I just need to redefine the period times in Nova? And if I did define the period times again then would I need to export the timetable cycle or will just sending the curriculum over be ok? Finally could there be any negative effects if I changed the period times? Thanks, Jahir

Anyone know if it is possible to exclude aspects from the SIMS Missing marks report?

Hi All, Anyone know what JCQ gradeset to use when setting up the performance indicators for NCFE and RSL qualifications on SIMS or if its possible at all? I've asked NCFE about the gradeset they use but they said they are unable to help as they don't support SIMS or base data. Thanks

Hi All, I'm trying to import an ATF file into SIMS but am getting an error after it tries to import: 'Unexpected Error: The INSERT statement conflicted with the CHECK constraint "chk_adm_application_free_school_meals_history_start_date". The conflict occurred in database "simsxxxxxx". table..... Anyone know if it's an issue with the atf or an issue with our sql database and any steps I can take to resolve it? Thanks, Jahir

Thanks Phil, very useful info. So for subjects that there aren't any aspects for, eg NCFE Level 2 Crt in Food and Cookery, I create my own otherwise I use Capitas? Also, are there any Capita aspects for Predicted grades? I can only see actual and target. Thanks

Is there any reason or situations why I shouldn't use Capita aspects? I'm just wondering why schools decide to use their own aspects instead of the Capita ones.

Hi All, I'm new to this forum and have found it really useful already. I need to redesign all KS3 and KS4 marksheets in my school and I was wondering if I should use capita aspects or school created aspects for the subjects and what the pros/cons are for both.
