  1. oh - I'd not seen that the turnover exception for public authorities. quite a jump if the not for profit argument cant be applied then !
  2. @Dripping sorry to resurrect this but can I just clarify as I have just had the same request - ICO suggested it was appropriate to reply to the email request (noreply@. . . ) asking for an appropriate address to respond to ? Subsequently you haven't had a response to that request so have done nothing further ? Thanks.
  3. I believe this as capita tells me so I believe this as capita tells me so I believe this . . .
  4. I'd definitely be looking at a MIS that focused on ensuring you can get your information out, and I'd also avoid ones that look like they were designed in the 80's in the USSR !! Bromcom or ISAMS for me - easy access and sensible interface coupled with varying level of reporting access to suit different needs. And they listen to customers and respond to demand to inform development. I think I'll be making this call anyway soon as their is savings to be had by adopting cloud systems so what is holding people back from making a change ? Surprised people are sighting finance as a barrier to switching as I'd suggest if money is the only concern the market leader wouldn't be top of anyone's list.
  5. that is only because Progresso screwed him over 2 years in a row and he had to re do it ! When that happens its definitely quicker to do it once manually !
  6. should just be an app really though shouldnt it. Users expect push info and been that way for several years. Even SIMS have got one now, if your behind them in your development you know your struggling . . . I'd be pushing them to properly resolve it rather than stick a band aid on a gushing wound.
  7. ICT Apprentice - closing date 27th Nov We have a need for an ICT apprentice based primarily at Cathedral Academy in Wakefield but part of a MAT team that currently supports schools across Calderdale and Wakefield and it is expected you will visit sites across the Trust as part of the role. This is an exciting opportunity with genuine scope for progression and as we develop a central ICT service to scale alongside the growth of Trinity MAT. We are currently a team of 10, supporting 3 secondaries, 1 6th form college and a primary but we anticipate we may well have at least one more secondary and several more primaries within 12 months. We now want to add an apprentice to the team to increase capacity to the team while also developing resilience and future proofing within the team. The apprentice will complete a level 3 apprenticeship course that will include several professional qualifications and set you up for a successful career in ICT. We have structured the team to include staff at Apprentice, technician, Senior Tech, ICT Manager and finally Technical lead and have a strong belief in investing in and upskilling our workforce. So this a great opportunity to get into a career in ICT and I genuinely believe we can offer long term prospects for those with the drive and determination to continue to develop. Any questions on the MAT team etc feel free to PM me and any questions on the apprenticeship arrangements details are contained on the link below. http://www.trinitymat.org/ICT Apprentice
  8. ICT Manager needed, based primarily at Cathedral Academy in Wakefield but part of a MAT team that currently supports schools across Calderdale and Wakefield and it is expected you will visit sites across the Trust as part of the role. This is an exciting opportunity with genuine scope for progression as we develop a central ICT service to scale alongside the growth of Trinity MAT. We are currently a team of 10, supporting 3 secondaries, 1 6th form college and a primary but we anticipate we may well have at least one more secondary and several more primaries within 12 months. Hence the ICT apprenticeship we are also advertising. We are in our infancy as a MAT and we are still establishing many of the elements of the central ICT support function so its an exciting time to join and help establish systems and ways of working that will provide value for money services to our growing group of schools. We deliver outstanding results to our learners and that expectation of excellence extends to all the roles and services within the Multi Academy Trust, so please have a look at what we believe and crucially what we deliver and if you feel you can contribute I'd welcome your application. Any questions please free to post on here or PM me if you would prefer. Thanks, Daniel Barlow Director of ICT & Data Systems MAT ICT Manager, Scale SO1/PO2 points 29 – 38, closing date 27th November "We are looking to appoint an ICT Manager, the purpose of the role is to contribute to the leadership and management of a successful trust-wide ICT support provision, supporting the development of IT networks and services. You will ensure that the IT services across the trust are implemented, delivered effectively and ICT equipment is available and fit for purpose. This is a trust role so while it is envisaged the primary location will be Cathedral Academy, Wakefield; there will be the need to work across sites to fit the needs of the trust." ICT Manager – Trinity Multi Academy Trust
