  1. I wanted to thank everyone in this forum for the valued information found here. Smart Viewer was broken on Win 7 machine with KB4041681. Removing it does indeed fix the issue. I called Samsung to alert them about the problem as I've gotten them to respond before about iPolis being broken on samsung phones ( couldn't access the address book ) a week later they had it fixed. The customer service person told me they are aware of the issue and that it's basically Microsoft's fault and that they were waiting for them to come out with a new windows update to fix it. I then rolled my eyes pretty hard asking her if there was any information on the exact update KB that is effecting it , she couldn't answer that. It's pretty horrible that their software connects to DOZENS of models of DVRs and yet they can't even have their top tier technicians post a bulletin with the right KB update to remove in order for it to work. Their excuse was that " it effects multiple software not just ours".... Pretty lousy considering I have over 24 of their DVRs at different locations. If they want installers and technical people to keep buying their products they should probably support them a little better. I guess maybe because of legal reasons they couldn't suggest removing any windows updates which may have security vulnerability patches but that KB is just a quality update nothing even that serious.....
