  1. I have an eeePC 900 linux version with 16 GB flashdrive and Xandros linux installed, including OpenOffice 2.0 I am looking for development and educational software for the Linux version, but haven't had much luck so far...Xandrox.com has almost no software available, and eeePCfiles.com has nothing really fascinating... Since Xandrox is derived from Debian, I have tried to find Debian and Ubuntu software which will run on the eeePC without trouble..but the forums are all filled up with horror stories about how Debian and Ubuntu SW doesn't work on the eeePC!!! So, if any of you out there know of a reliable source of freeware/shareware or developer tools for the Xandrox eeePC, drop me a line! frontierscientist Copenhagen
  2. As a Microsoft partner, I was offered free access to Microsoft Office online and MS live mesh over a year ago..so this "news" is rather old!! To get access to MS office online and other free web services, such as SkyDrive, Expression web, and Forefront security, instead of logging into hotmail.com try logging on at Live Search instead--then choose "MS live services" where you can see a list of available services and stuff still in Beta. There may be a wait in getting access to MS office online...I had to wait 4-6 weeks to get my free account. frontierscientist Copenhagen
