  1. Honestly hadnt heard of this until now, but it doesnt support our MIS anyway. - - - Updated - - - Was there an easy way to get an output of the GroupID's you had just created? I dont mind running a script for generating and then another for adding other Owners. If you have the scripts then I would be very grateful thank you!

  3. Hi All, Does anyone happen to know how, or even currently perform bulk creation operation on Teams? I am trying to create around 60 Teams, all with multiple users registered as "Owner", but I seem to be hitting a wall whilst trying to add multiple users as Owner. Example: I have 60 classes, all named "Teaching Group 1- 60", I want to create all of these groups in one go, and assign myself and 2 other users as "Owners" (basically as admin). I am currently using the following to generate an individual Team: New-Team -DisplayName "Teaching Group 1" -Owner "[email protected]" This seems to work, but doesnt factor in the multiple Owners problem. I would like to be able to draw variables from a .csv possibly in order to create and assign these Teams, but nothing I try seems to work, has anyone managed to do anything like this at all? Thank you.
  4. Just to close this thread off, we eventually found out that our Firewall was not strong enough to support the amount of devices that were attempting to access the internet. We have now seriously upgraded the hardware and the problem has subsided! Thanks everyone for the help.
  5. Login times are definitely something I don't want to increase at the moment, what about at shut down rather than startup? All PC's are scheduled to shut down at the end of the day so this seems like a logical choice?
  6. Thanks for the info! I am now testing it on a few of my frequent offenders as a startup process with only the silent switch. If I have read correctly this should remove any profile accept the default accounts, i will post results after when I have had a few more users on it and hopefully will see some progress. This seems a bit stupid having to go through all of this because the built in Microsoft option doesn't work? Has anyone actually managed to get it working?
  7. So I have looked into DelProf2 but am not really sure how to use it properly. When I run it all I get is a simple yes and no query, I cant customise age of profiles etc. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a specific way to use this that I am unaware of?
  8. Ok, thanks for the suggestions I will give it a go and report back my results!
  9. I think you are right about the registry entries being the problem as manual removal does fix it. It's just not practical doing that to such a large amount of machines all the time! Do you think DelProf2 will be able to remove them better than the standard windows removal?
  10. Hi, As the title states we are getting a lot of user profile errors since switching students from Roaming to local profiles (with folder redirection). We have a GPO in place to delete local profiles every 5 days (we have over 2000 students on one campus) and only 128GB SSD's. I think the problem is in the deleting of the profile and it not removing certain users fully, instead leaving a "?" in place of the username, thus generating the error. My question is how do I avoid this? We can go into Advance System Settings/User Profiles and delete any profile that has "?" instead of a username to fix this, but with pushing 1000 PC's this isn't a long term solution! We run Windows 10 Ent on all machines, all served by Windows 2012 R2 servers, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
  11. No it seems to happen all over! Will keep digging but so far seems a bit of a mystery..
  12. ISP is Janet, and currently we do not have filtering in place only Cyberoam firewall. NSLookup just shows local DNS server IP address from clients, unless I have misunderstood the question (which is highly possible)!
  13. Yes all requests go to internal DNS servers first, then to ISP'. We did originally use Google at first but changed in order to try and solve this problem, no change unfortunately. As far as we can tell, DNS internally is working as it should be and we have not made any major changes that could have caused this.
  14. We have tried changing DNS from Google to internal and sadly no change. Not running any proxy or filtering at the minute.
  15. Hi, I work in a College in Cambridge and we are having very odd, intermittent issues with Internet pages randomly not loading (e.g. Page not Found or Page cannot be loaded). We are using Windows 10 Enterprise in a domain environment. Students have local user accounts via AD and staff have roaming profiles, but this problem affects staff and student alike. We have checked with our ISP and they cannot see any problems at their end. A quick refresh usually fixes the problem, but it's happening all over the College to all users. It doesn't sound like a massive problem but when you are going through payment sites or any kind of form submission it is a nightmare as you lose everything! We primarily use IE11 for staff and students but we also use Chrome and Firefox, and come across the same issue regardless. Has anyone experienced anything like this, on this kind of scale? thanks in advance!
