I find Landy Zone very helpful for Range Rover support, but for Disco 2 YMMV. A friend of mine recommended LRO for Disco 2 issues. I use Independent Land Rover Services for any repairs I cannot cope with, Noel is very knowledgeable about all things with a Green Oval.

sounds like and underlying issue to me, have you installed the server manufacturers latest drivers for all the components (RAID, NIC etc). or could be DNS related

I found Win 8 unstable for 1st couple of hours, combination of windows updates and time fixed it, when I looked at resource Monitor it was doing a scan/cache of everything on the HDD and running updates. Left it overnight and its been fine now for weeks. same with Win7 once updated and cached all was OK

have a look at Prolight Concepts great as a stage wash, prolight also have a full range from light to sound kit LED is the way forward as its bright and cost next to nothing to run (about 10x less) 300w LED is as bright if not brighter than 3Kw of generic fixtures also no need for dimmers etc

I personally prefer the leatherman tools where the blades are on the outside of the handle (wave, charge, surge etc) as the blades can be used and put away with less faff and with practice one handed. The way the super tool etc work is you need to open the tool part extract another tool to release the lock to then retract the open tool, after forgetting mine one weekend away and having to use an original PST I missed the ease of use of my Charge TTi

I have also used it to pre stage printer drivers so the user does not have to download them from the server

have a look at PNPutil.exe if they are Win7 machines if you go with something like, it will install and update the drivers from a share, even works for network and wireless cards pnputil.exe -i -a \\server\share\drivers\graphics\abcd\*.INF you will need to extract the drivers from the exe by running it or using something like 7-zip

Are you using a dedicated (front end) server to deliver OWA? If so, I have seen this before when the Back End server and the Front End server have are slightly out of step with exchange patches.

The January release of SAV (which will actually be released around 19th Dec) will include code to significantly improve performance on machine with less than 256 Mb of RAM, so you should see a substantial improvement from then.

I have had a similar issue with some brand new out of the box PC's (HP's) but if i let them start the HP OEM mini setup and then rebooted all was OK. it was like the HDD was missing but once something had accessed it the problems went away.

the best way to go about this is 1. Build up a spare machine with Server 2003 and exch 2003, a hefty workstation will do so long as you have the disk space 2. Migrate the mailboxes across to that machine. 3. Go through system manager and make the new machine the default for everything. 4. Then format/rebuild the old server, keeping the same name just incase you missed anything in step 3. and also your clients will not have reconfigure outlook. 5. go back through process in reverse order. 6. uninstall exchange from spare machine.

is this your only DC? Try plugging the network cable back in, 2000 used to have problems with DNS if the network cable was unplugged. If you need to plug it into a mini switch on it's own but at least have a link to the network card

You can use message tracking from System Manager, Tools to track messages sent though exchange, If it is a message which was BCC'd this will still tell you the sender and who it went to as long as you have enabled logging on your server. Can you not check logs for where the sender was logged on.

you need to add a fwd look up zone to DNS, with the name of the fqdn of the server eg http://www.extsrv.school.regaion.sch.uk then in that add a host (same as parent) Host (A) 192.168.0.220 (or what ever the IP of the machine is)

just a tought, never tried it but could you have an identical share on each server called redirects$ and have the redirect point to %logonserver%\redirects$\smenu\etc\etc %logonserver%\redirects$\desktop\etc\etc this would only work if shares were on DC's but would possibly shareout the work/network traffic needed by one server and if one failed you would have the others to fall back on.

is it not done in AD users and computers and set up a new distribution list like a security group, then this can be seen in the GLobal Address List (or hidden if you like) thats the 2003 way i maybe wrong
