Solved this one awhile back. It's a simple regedit that'll fix it. Teachers would take their domain joined laptop home, then complain about the green progress bar that always seems to take 15 minutes before windows explorer actually works. The problem is mapped drives. The device will keep trying to connect, then after not connecting it finally times out. This also happened with autopilot / AAD devices using mapped drives as well. Why is Promethean as a company taking a giant step BACKWARDS? Seriously. If you are going to change installation methodology, at least make sure it can remove prior versions of your own product. This Bitrock crap allows for exactly 0 customizations that users have come to expect. This installer may work just fine for a single end user, but we have over 8,000 Promethean boards in our district. While I am able to create workarounds (pre and post installation actions) to do what is necessary, it shouldn't be necessary at all. ? Give us an MSI!
