  1. Hi guys, I've been asked to setup 20 new Macs with Jamf, both of which I have never looked at until 2 weeks ago! Complete beginner when it comes to Mac's, so apologies for what may seem like daft questions! AD accounts can log on etc, they can access their home areas on the Windows network. At the moment, I can save on the desktop with my test account and I noticed GarageBand creates it's own folder locally to save to as well, rather than saving it to the home area. Can I restrict access to saving locally on the macs and redirect anything that needs saving to their network areas? Thanks in advance :-)
  2. We were told the memory on their firewall was clogged up. 😐 They couldn't access it when we called them initially. When we tried calling back when the Internet came back on; we couldn't get through as they were experiencing a high level of calls. So I don't think it was just us.
  3. Thank you, currently in contact with Shayne - he is very helpful. Definitely good to hear other peoples experiences :-)
  4. Sorry to jump on the post? Anybody had any experience with just using BT? We have just had a decent quote from them for 1Gbps on 1Gbps bearer with a Cisco Meraki Router. Line Manager is keen to go down that route with them. Another option is Coconnect that we met at Bett too. Just trying to weigh out all options at the moment. Still awaiting a quote back from EXA.
  5. If you have the Synchronization Service Manager - take a look on there, it should show what it was trying to delete.
  6. I'm currently in the process of creating an image using 1809 - currently using AppLocker to disable the links. I created an Executable Rule - to deny access for my student group to open any software that is held in this path... \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools\ It doesn't get rid of them from the Start Menu, but it does stop them accessing it. Hoping this will stop them from tinkering. I did test out the remove all programs policy last night, so seeing what I can do with that today - would prefer the students to only see what they need to. They do not have access to the C: Drive.
  7. Thank you both! :-D I have contacted SchoolsBroadband and hopefully we are back up and running again now. Just out of interest Tech1 - what ISP are you going with? Our contract ends after Christmas, I'm not overly keen on sticking with them; especially since the Lightspeed/Netweeper nightmare we had.
  8. Do you happen to know what changes need to be made please? We are having issues with Tucasi at the moment (well since we came back, last week). Sharp Systems (till provider) mentioned that it could be at the ISP level, however I'm not quite sure what information I need to give to the ISP. You're not with SchoolsBroadband are you?
