Thomas Keble School We are seeking an IT Network Manager who will be responsible to the Deputy Headteacher. IT development has been a key area of focus for Thomas Keble over the last three years. Hi I have accounts that can only be enabled for certain lessons. I have created a powershell script and scheduled tasks to enable the accounts at the start of a lesson and then disable after. The script runs fine but every time they log on its asks them to reset their password. Does enable/disable account force a password reset? Is there a way to stop this?

We had this issue as well. We use lightspeed rocket to filter our traffic and by un-ticking the "Block Google and YouTube HTTPS (fail safe)" within Rule Sets fixed the issue for us

Hi, we are partly managed. Currently have 4 Konica Minolta photocopiers, Samsung printers in IT Rooms and using pcounter, This is all managed by a company called Danwood. In the next few weeks are looking at moving across of papercut and see where else we can save money as at the moment we have lots of little laserjet and inkjet printers on peoples desk's that I would like to remove and use pull printing

This is my first career from leaving school What other jobs / roles have you done previously? None How many interviews did it take to get your first job in IT? My first IT role I got after my first interview Have you ever felt that being female is a help or a hindrance to gaining a job in IT? I have felt both. For instance in the school environment it has helped as there seem to be more female teachers and they like to talk more to other tech female’s. I have also found that because I can explain things in a non-technical way compared to other males I know this has also helped (sorry to the males that are very good at this). I have found being a female more of a hindrance in business. Many a time I have gone to a customer’s site to fix a problem to be welcomed with the oh you’re a female! They soon change their tune once I have fixed their issue If you were considering IT (or other engineering / programming careers) whilst at school what support did you receive? Didn’t consider this as a career at school it’s just something I feel into

Hi Over the summer holidays I reloaded some laptops with Windows XP ran sysprep and uploaded the image to my WDS server. Reimage all laptops via WDS and now when all laptops boot up I get an error message saying "duplicate name exist on the network". There is no duplicate name and I have renamed one laptop to something completely different that I would not have used in the past. Anybody have any idea what could be going on?

Hi I have used the Roland CAMM1 CX24 with Windows 7 32bit with no problems. You can have the drivers I got if you want but dont know if they work with 64bit

Does anyone know what percentage of internet uptime SWGFL are meant to provide? Our internet seems to be very intermittent lately. Has anyone with SWGFL made a note of how many times the internet has gone down? I havn't but may start from today.

We use Scholaris which is provided by Ergo and based on Sharepoint. Installed this summer and already staff have found it easy to use and very useful.

Do not get an NDR Some mail is in quarantine but not all - dont know where the rest has gone I only have one domain no it has never worked - only set it up this week

Hi I have exhange 2010 server installed with exchange edge on another server, can send mail out and send mail internally but nothing is coming in from the outside. I can telnet onto my edge server and I believe it is recieveing email as I have forefront for exchange installed and there is mail in the quarentine list. But no mail is being forwarded onto the exchange server. Does anyone have any ideas as to why? Many thanks

Well I finally bought another motorbike. Got a kawasaki ER-6F its great so easy to ride and now the weather is getting better I can get out on it even more.

I cant find where is says what language, but when I installed it I couldnt specify what language so I assume it is set to English

I have pcounter, office 2010 and Samsung CLP-670 printers. We use the print release webpage and it works for me. By defult printer set to Colour, change setting via publisher to greyscale and on the webrelease page it is there as a mono print. Also works the other way around.

I registered two weeks ago and have never recieved an email

Thanks for all the replys. Those of you who have sports bikes does your back ache from leaning over after a long ride or your rists from leaning on them? I have never riden a sports bike but the riding position looks like it could take its toll after a while. If not than thats great, may have to take one for a test ride. I am also looking at a suzuki SV 650, or something similar.
