  1. The error given after failing to proceed is: 'You cannot visit http://www.youtube.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later'
  2. Hi all, My users are all very concerned about an issue which has just popped up as we started the new term. Every time you try to access Youtube on one of our computers, or any device connected to our internet you just get a "Your connection isn't private" error. Usually this is easily subverted by just clicking advanced and then proceed, however upon doing this the page times out. Any ideas would be appreciated as I'm stuck for ideas, the server clock was a few minutes and I know system time can cause the issue but when corrected nothing changed. Thanks alot
  3. Looked at group policy and for a pinitem script but I've found nothing that points to it being that either
  4. Yeah I was thinking of trying a re image for the sake of it. Nope I've moved the PC to the ICT suite OU and the office one and no change when moved to either. That was my best guess as to what was causing the issue so it was the first thing I tried.
  5. Hi all, Lately one of my users has been having a problem. Basically they want to pin the outlook 2010 shortcut to their taskbar, so they pin outlook to their taskbar however when they log off for the day and log back on the pinned item is gone. So the other day I reset the account and tested pinning the same object to the taskbar on a networked computer in the IT Suite and it worked fine, but it seems the problem persists on her PC where as it doesn't on other computers. I'm also finding that none of her user settings stick on her computer, with Office giving the first use screen at every log on. I've moved the computer to the same group the Suite pc's are in and others on active directory and its made no change. What could it be?
  6. Thanks for the response, Yeah I've thought about making this a project rather than looking for a pre made solution although its just finding the time when I'd like to implement something like this right away (It's just me here). That's the problem I've come across with these Library based programs, they're to narrow to adapt. Barcodes seem to be the way forward and I could probably base those on serial number or something. I'd certainly welcome a PM if you're willing to share your program.
  7. Hi all, We have a good 150+ tablets in our school, including a couple of sets of Learnpads and the rest Toshibas with Learnpad software over the stock android. Basically what I want to do is have some kind of system so that when staff take them for lessons or anything else its logged. I've been thinking the best way to do this is use a system not unlike one would use in a Library setting as all I want to know is When, Who and how long (We have problems with them going missing or laying dormant in a draw somewhere for months so to know when they're overdue would save me a lot of time. I've talked to our librarian and the software she uses could be adapted however we only have it licensed for use on one machine and for something like this I'm leaning more toward open source unless the price was very reasonable. I've also been wondering if this would be best achieved with barcodes/QR codes. Let me know if you have any ideas or a system in place like this already Thanks alot!
