Starting date: 31 January 2022 41 weeks PA (Term-time plus 3 weeks). 37 hours per week. Pay scale H5, actual salary £19,657 We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, competent and skilled Technician to take responsibility for all the technical aspects of school productions and events, specifically sound and lighting. The post-holder will be responsible for rigging, plotting and programming lighting and sound, in both our Main Hall space and our Drama Studio. They will have the opportunity to support extra-curricular activities, such as the running of the “Tech Club”, which involves giving instruction to the students in the safe use of technical equipment. They would ideally have knowledge of video production and editing, to produce high quality videos to be used for virtual school events including prospective parents’ evenings and the school’s annual Awards Evening as well as other digital content. Knowledge of set design and prop making, whilst not a requirement, would be seen as an advantage. The successful applicant will also need to offer assistance in front line support of the school’s computer network. The successful applicant will ideally have some experience of working within a busy ICT Support team and be looking to expand their technical knowledge through further experience and formal training. A good working knowledge of networking and hardware components, Windows 7, 10, Windows Server, Office 365, SIMS and all of the necessary skills to successfully help support a network is desirable, although training will be provided.
