Hi Anyone used Techut https://techut.co.uk/it-recycling/ for equipment disposal? - they say they pay you if they can re-sell I've used PRM and Ecosystems in the past thanks for any feedback

I've been asked to look into a password manager for the teachers to use (to stop them leaving password post-its on the wall). Anyone got any thoughts on if this is a good idea, a worthwhile expense? Is anyone using a password manager (Lastpass has been mentioned) or got any recommendations for or against? thanks!

I know Papercut works on the Riso devices, but they already have a built in print release system, though it doesn't do 'follow-me'. As we are a small school we will use the Riso system to avoid the expense of Papercut, and see how we get on without the 'follow-me' functionality. I think most of our users tend to collect print from their nearest machine anyway.

Thanks Jess. We have decided to go with Riso (starting next March) as we have had decent feedback from local schools already using them. Riso have a built in print release system (though it's not 'follow-me') so we will drop Papercut for now and see how we get on. - we only have 3 devices in a fairly small school so it shouldn't be too much of a loss. Happy to share my experiences after March when we start using them!

Hi We are coming to the end of our 3 year Sharp MFD contract. Although very happy with these devices we have to get quotes for the new contract. One of the companies I have seen is Riso who apparently provide ink jet devices as an alternative to laser devices with faster page print speeds and much lower cost per page. I confess that I didn't realise such devices existed so would like to know if anyone has any experience of this type of device? Better or worse than laser MFDs? We also use Papercut and I'd like to know if this works well with Riso machines? Many thanks

Who do people purchase new PCs / laptops from? - I used to use MISCO quite a bit .......

We bought a couple to start a rolling replacement of our old Smart Interactive boards, but it turns out the teachers don't like them. - Partly I think because they are used to the Smart software, but there have been other complaints about Lynx is slow to convert Smart files and the conversion is not always accurate. Head wants to cut losses and restart the replacement programme using Smart.

Anyone know if there is a company that would be interested in buying second hand 65" Clevertouch boards? We have decided to go for Smart boards and want to sell our 1 year old Clevertouch boards. Obviously I will try local schools, but just wondered if other possibilities may be out there?
