Hi,
We have been struggling with a problem accessing the google search page using Internet Explorer within our school network for a while now. The computers affected are Windows 7 SP1 x64 running IE 11.
Users who are affected cannot load the main google search page correctly, as a large white box blocks the screen, and never disappears. Here is a screenshot of the problem.
We’ve tried the usual fixes, such as deleting all browser history, running IE without add-ins and in compatibility mode. None of these have helped.
Roaming profiles are used, and once a user has the problem, they have the problem on other computers as well.
We have installed Google Chrome on affected computers, and the google search page loads correctly. We can only use this as a test, and not roll out Chrome, as most of our systems require Internet Explorer to function.
It seems like an incorrect setting in Internet Explorer, but we can’t find any settings in IE that make an impact.
Has anyone had this issue before, and (hopefully!) found a fix for it? Failing that, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jake
