Also, forgot to mention an events calendar. Ideally something we can display in a sidebar

Many thanks

I'm looking to move a basic School website from static HTML site to WordPress, so would like a good security / gallery / slider / WSIWYG plugin etc Does anyone have a list of tried and tested plugins? I find some of the ones pushed by WordPress, and even their most popular can be a bit hit and miss. Also looking for good base themes I can expand upon. Thanks in advance

We had the same issue, had to force the required group policy and it seems fine now (play sounds in web pages)
-
We sorted this in the end... Win10 was looking for the correct icon to display the printer and it must have been blocked by our proxy so it was taking 10+mins then installing the printer anyway. We disabled the printer icons by policy and they install straight away now. How odd!
-
As an update to this thread I've noticed the printers are actually added but come up as "device setup in progress" and that's why people couldn't print immediately, this normally takes 5-10 mins to setup x3 printers - Why does Win10 have to do this for every profile? I would assume the drivers are already on the machine, so not sure what other setup is required?
-
I updated the printers firmware last week to the latest version - This was to fix an issue with network scanning and has not fixed / affected the printing issue
-
Tried the latest print driver from Xerox and still the same issue. Found out it's not the initial login, it's simply the first job sent to the queue from that newly created profile. Clearing the job from the print queue and printing again works, then continues to work without issue, as long as people use the same machine it isn't a problem - but that's not always the case because we have a few hotdesks... PITA to troubleshoot!
-
I'm puzzled here. Having an issue with printing in Win10 x64... but only at the initial login, logins after that work fine. We have one of two main printers that is added by GPO, never had a problem with it before, and only recently noticed prints seem to spool on the local machine and just never come out the printer. Logging out of the machine and then back in fixes the issue... Bit of a PITA as it should work straight off the bat on the initial login (when profile is created) Can't be a driver issue otherwise it wouldn't work at all.. bit of a strange one that's for sure! So... Where do I start!?

Thought I'd fixed this with a script too.. then turned out it was still on quite a few machines! I'm running the script on startup from the machines OU - Should this be a user script instead? -
Wow, any way around that? I read through some previous comments which will help as we are moving to wordpress soon!
-
OK think I've finally got it removed. This is the script I used. msiexec.exe /package {90150000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE} MSIPATCHREMOVE={67F564FF-2A7E-45B9-A2F4-2D0BFE134F46} /quiet Had to search the registry to find the uninstall string
-
I don't get a result for either which is odd... Knew I had already tried DISM /online /get-packages and it wasn't in the list. Any alternative?
-
Thanks both. I thought I'd already checked the DISM packages and set a script to remove, but the update was still present on some machines. I'll have another look tomorrow and test your suggestions.

Trying to remove KB3114717 from our win7 machines (it's a bad office2k13 update) The update is clearly installed but wusa says it isn't ... What am I missing here?

Actually... what am I missing here! Trying to uninstall the KB with wusa and it's saying it's not installed! - It clearly is! -
We can pay via BACS. They seem pretty good actually, thanks

Anyone having issues with folder redirection via GPO in Win10? I've set a location on our server for desktop redirection (like we have on our W7 machines) and it doesn't seem to be working. Is this a common thing I've missed? - Had read that it may be an issue, but haven't seen a fix as yet. Please help!

Got my start menu looking good thanks to all involved here! It's redirected, and my "all programs" folder is also redirected. Is there anyway to remove the default apps on the start menu? E.g. Maps People Calculator Alarms & Clock Snipping Tool Paint Sticky Notes Will I need applocker for this?

Does anyone know of a good wordpress host that will accept a purchase order as payment? Already have a domain name, so that's not needed. Tried a few of the big hitters and they only accept credit card etc.. Thanks
